Are you stressed about having to do one more Zoom class with your child?
One more subject to learn and frustrate you? I don’t blame you. It’s very difficult and challenging.
Well, don’t worry. Because this class is going to be FUN!!
You and your child are going to have a great time. There will be lots of laughs and successes.
Think of this class as fun play, recess and even vacation all combined into one.
Here you and your child will learn:
- How to play with your child so you both have fun,
- Easy ways to add physical activity to your child’s day,
- Work on communication, academic and social skills,
- Make progress on IEP goals,
- How to use common household items for fun, games and learning,
- And a whole lot more!
I feel parents of kids with special needs have a difficult task during Covid. I want to make things as fun, easy and non-anxiety producing as possible.
So we have three ways to access our Adapted Physical Education activities…
- ZOOM (699
- Web Page (here!)
- Email consult (rusher@sccoe.org)
Let’s go into a little bit more detail about each method.
ZOOM
Each Zoom meeting will be approximately 30 minutes with me and possibly your classroom teacher and para educators.
For most of my classes an adult will need to be there (don’t worry…it will be fun!)
If you can’t make the Zoom meeting, they will be recorded and you will be able to find them here on this website or get them from your teacher or myself.
I’ve got some technical and privacy issues to workout before this becomes fully operational.
Web Weekly Activities:
Each week, there will be a blog post with activities that can be done during the week.
These activities will have a theme and include three to five fun and simple lessons or ideas for your and your family to do.
Most of these lessons will have instructions and a link to a video to go along with the lesson.
Note: At this time, the links will go to Youtube videos or another source. I’m not comfortable being an actor or performer. As my skills improve, this may change!
Email Consults
Finally, if you have questions, concerns or ideas on how we can improve the class, you may contact me through my work email (RUsher@sccoe.org).
